At Davis Academy, we understand that finding the right accommodation is crucial for our students’ comfort and success. We offer two primary accommodation options: Homestay and Independent Living. Homestay Accommodation
Davis Academy can assist students in arranging homestay accommodation, subject to availability. To avail of this service, please inform your student advisor at least 4 weeks before your program start date to ensure sufficient time for booking.
Features of Homestay Accommodation:
- Meals: 2 to 3 meals per day, with dietary requirements accommodated (note: a supplemental fee may apply for specific dietary needs).
- Safety considerations: Davis Academy works with accommodation providers and students to support appropriate living arrangements. Students should promptly report concerns about their accommodation to Student Services.
- Amenities: Includes bed linens and Wi-Fi internet access.
- Duration: A minimum stay of 3 months is required.
Independent Living
Davis Academy may assist students in locating independent living options, including rooms in shared or student-oriented accommodation, subject to availability.
Features of Independent Living:
- Facilities: Access to shared kitchen, bathroom, and laundry facilities.
- Room Options: Choose between private and shared rooms.
- Amenities: Includes bed linens and Wi-Fi internet access.
- Duration: A minimum stay of 3 months is required.
Please note that independent living options are subject to availability. We recommend inquiring at least 12 weeks in advance to secure your preferred accommodation.
Renting Independently in British Columbia
Students arranging their own accommodation are encouraged to review their rights and responsibilities as tenants before signing a rental agreement or paying a deposit.Student Services can provide general information about:
- rental agreements and security deposits
- utilities and other anticipated housing costs
- transportation between housing and campus-
- recognizing and avoiding rental scams
